Students of the University of Kragujevac have started with the internship in the institutions that are founded by the City of Kragujevac
Students’ Summer Professional Internship program of the University of Kragujevac and the City of Kragujevac, allows students of final years of the bachelor, integrated and master academic studies of the University of Kragujevac, to realize their first professional internship in the institutions established by the City of Kragujevac. The program was founded on the initiative of the Student Parliament of the University, and is implemented by the University Center for Career Development and Student Counseling, Student Parliament and City of Kragujevac. This year’s program started with the welcome ceremony held on July 3, 2018 in the City Assembly.
During July and August, students will conduct a one month long internship in local self-government bodies, public and public utility companies and institutions founded by the City of Kragujevac.
At the reception for the trainees, the present were greeted by Stefan Nikezić – mayor’ assistant for improving the position of youth in local self-government and prof. Dr. Miroslava Petrović-Torgašev - Vice-rector for scientific research at the University of Kragujevac. “Thanks to your interest in participating in this internship program - you are one step ahead of your colleagues who have not done so. The University and the City have been conducting this program for six years now and I hope that the number of registered students will increase in the upcoming years, because this is an exceptional opportunity that should not be missed, “said vice-rector Petrović-Torgašev.
Within the project Trans2Work, intended for students with disabilities, students of the University of Sarajevo and the University of Banja Luka also participate in the program of summer internship in Kragujevac. The University of Kragujevac, as one of the partners in the project, participates in the preparation and improvement of higher education institutions in supporting students with disabilities in their transition from faculty to workplace following the standards and policies of the European Union. Within this project, four students from the University of Kragujevac will conduct a two-month internship in Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
