University of Indonesia (UI) announced the results of UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2017 on December 11th, 2017.
This year, 619 universities from 76 countries participated in the ranking, compared to 515 universities from 75 countries in the last year. It is the first and only university ranking in the world that measure university's commitment to developing an 'environmentally friendly' infrastructure. The ranking is conducted based on 6 indicators of university infrastructure (setting and infrastructure, energy and climate change, waste, water, transportation and education).
University of Wageningen became the world's best green campus, followed by the University of Nottingham and the third-ranked is the University of California, Davis.
University of Kragujevac has received a certificate of green universities awarded by the University of Indonesia (UI) and UI GreenMetric World University Rankings for the 320th place.
